Simon has spent his career in ground engineering and has been with DGS since the beginning. He leads our estimating and sales departments and is the first point of contact for most new clients.

Nigel Rea

Nigel has unprecedented experience in soil stabilisation having previously founded and ran a UK provider. Nigel now manages DGS sites and shows particular expertise in the effective operation of Wirtgen technology.
Kenny Blain

A formidable Scot, Kenny has been delivering stabilised and engineered soil solutions for decades. As an experienced manager, Kenny delivers solutions to complex issues safely and on time.
George Dida
Site Management
George has been with DGS from the start – initially as a stabilisation and rolling dynamic compaction operative before transitioning to site management several years ago. George has played a role in the development of many of our procedures and now plays a key role in training new managers as we continue to expand the industry.
Johnny Gavriloiu
Site Management
Johnny’s excellent man-management skills make him a favourite among our operators who can always rely on him to oversee works quickly, safely and with the minimum of complications.
Paul Davies
Site Management
Paul has worked for some of the UK’s big providers in soil solutions and joined DGS after 20 years experience in the sector. Paul is a SMSTS manager with an MPQG (level 3) in Geotechnical knowledge.
Dr Carol Butler BSc (hons) PGDip DPhil
Remediation and Environmental Consultant
Dr Butler has 17 years of experience in risk and liability management and consultancy within the contaminated land sector including COMAH and COSHH-SHE. She manages our interactions with the Environment Agency and coordinates our regulatory compliance.
Joe Rea
Site Engineer
Growing up in a family of stabilisation professionals, Joe lives and breathes ground engineering. Joe performs testing and volumetric modelling on larger sites as well as supervising smaller sites.
Callum Aptakre-Davis BSc (hons) ASCM

Callum joined our Site Engineer programme after completing a BS in Applied Geology from the prestigious Cambourne School of Mines at Exeter University. Callum performs testing and volumetric modelling on larger

Jacob Armstrong BSc (hons) ACSM GMICE FGS
Site Engineer
Jacob joined our Site Engineer programme after completing a BS in Geology from the prestigious Cambourne School of Mines at Exeter University. Jacob performs testing and volumetric modelling on larger sites as well as supervising smaller sites. Jacob is a Fellow of the Geological Society and holds an Associateship of the Gambourne School of Mines.
Sarah Cooper BSc (hons)
Geotechnical Engineer
Sarah joined our team after spending several years in both the site investigation and oil exploration industries. She holds a BS from Portsmouth University in Geological hazards. Based in our head office, Sarah designs and analyses technical and volumetric drawings.
